Trying to get a handle on Microsoft Store installs. Microsoft Store apps can be blocked via GPO however there are many gaps around this. For example, using the web browser to go to Microsoft store.

Is there a way to block Msix files from installing in Beyond Trust? maybe prevent them from running from downloads folder?

Hello @flani - I believe this is possible as EPM can control the Installation and Uninstallation of programs via Installation package, such as MSI’s. Please check the documentation here to see if this is what you are after: https://docs.beyondtrust.com/epm-wm/docs/pathfinder-epm-for-windows-application-definitions-and-types#application-definitions

Hi @PhillC

I believe Windows Store uses .Msix files and not .MSI. I also believe Windows installs these via Microsoft Store in the context of System which is causing limitations in blocking these with Beyond Trust EPM.

Please let me know if i am incorrect or if there is some way to have Beyond Trust block this.
