BeyondTrust Community Agreement


This is an Agreement between you and BeyondTrust Corporation (“BeyondTrust”) which governs your access to, and use of, BeyondTrust’s Community platform (the “Community”). By accessing the Community, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to this Agreement, please do not use the Community.

BeyondTrust may, at its sole discretion, change, modify or replace any part of this Agreement and/or any part of the features provided by the Community at any time, and will post any such change on this page. Your continued use of the Community after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to join and post to the Community.
  • Subject to your compliance with these terms, BeyondTrust grants you revocable, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to enter and use the Community.
  • You represent and warrant that your use of the Community will be in strict accordance with this Agreement, the Community General Code of Conduct and with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • All content posted by users remains the intellectual property of the user. By posting content on Community, you grant BeyondTrust a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, distribute, and display that content in connection with the operation of the Community. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are proprietary to BeyondTrust or other respective owners.
  • You agree not to post or share content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. Please contact communitysupport@beyondtrust.com if you are a content owner and believe that a user’s content infringes your intellectual property rights.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Community account credentials and for all activities that occur under such account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security relating to your use of the Community. BeyondTrust will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
  • You remain solely responsible for content you submit to the Community. You agree not to wrongly imply that any content you submit to the Community is sponsored or approved by BeyondTrust and agree to indemnify, defend and hold BeyondTrust harmless for all third-party claims or expenses arising out of or related to your content.
  • BeyondTrust reserves the right to delete or take down any content, disable, or to terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to breaches of this Agreement.
  • BeyondTrust will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Community, or from any content posted by users. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, or data. The Community may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by BeyondTrust. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
  • The Community is provided on an "as is” and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. BeyondTrust does not warrant that the Community will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Community is at your sole risk.
  • Your privacy is important to us. We collect basic information to personalize your experience and keep the Community secure. Please review our Privacy Notice which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use the Community.
  • Any sample or proof of concept code (“Code”) provided on the Community is provided “as is” and without any express or implied warranties. This means that we do not promise that it will work for your specific needs or that it is error-free. Such Code is community supported and not supported directly by BeyondTrust, and it is not intended to be used in a production environment. BeyondTrust and its contributors are not liable for any damage you or others might experience from using the Code, including but not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or any interruptions to your business, no matter what the cause is, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

General code of conduct
Our community is there for everyone, however, we want to make sure that the community offers a positive experience for all visitors. Therefore these general guidelines have been established.

Be friendly
Users must treat one another with respect. Users will not post any racist, insulting, sexist, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise insulting comments, will not use coarse language, make inappropriate jokes or otherwise harass other users.

Stay legal
Users may not post any pornographic or otherwise offensive material, share illegal or copyrighted content, attempt to distribute illegal substances, distribute viruses or other material which gives you access to the computers or systems of other users, or generally anything that is considered illegal by your country of residence.

Stay on topic
Please do not change the subject of a discussion to something not intended by the original poster. Any off-topic posting or “hijacking” of threads will result in content being removed and ultimately can cause users to be denied access to the community.

No commercial use
Users may not use the forum for (commercial) activities such as the advertising or sale of products or services, the sending of commercial messages (spam), the offering of (interactive) games or the advertising of other chat forums or websites.

No sharing of private information
Please refrain from sharing personal information (telephone numbers, email addresses, etc.) of yourself, other people or companies.

No multiple accounts
It is not allowed to own multiple accounts on this community. If the Community Team detects double accounts all secondary accounts will be banned.

Moderator actions
The Community Team reserves the right to change or remove content or to restrict access to individual users, should it be regarded as necessary. It is not allowed to discuss any Moderation actions in public, should you disagree with an action taken then please contact a Moderator or the Community Manager via private message.

Be careful
All users on this community are here to help, however nobody can be held responsible for any negative consequences resulting out of information derived from this community.
