Hello Everyone,

We are currently performing clean up act for previously configured data in BeyondTrust Password Safe (On-Premises Instance).

while analyzing data it was found that there are number of Address groups which are configured but not sure how those are related to any Smart Rules.

Is there any easy way to find out list of smart rules using those Address groups? May be a DB query also works.

Thanks,

Prasad

Hi @prasadp87

The short answer is no.

If you have not used the description for your smart rules to inform you of Selection criteria and what is targeted, you will have to run through them.

Smart Rules for Managed System and Assets.

You can back track from hosts in the address group, find the asset and look up the advanced details - Smart group.

Note: You can have smart rules that is Not shown as Smart Groups.

Thats really unfortunate that we have to depend on description only or back track from hosts. It will too much of effort in doing this.

Thanks for your reply, Jens!

This is why naming standard and using meaningful descriptions is crucial for password safe.

But I agree, a feature request could be in place for it.
