Hello Team,

We are looking for KBA article, pointer to know how MongoDB instances can be configured in BeyondTrust Password safe.

We are looking for similar option as we do while performing asset scan (with database option checked) for Oracle type databases.

Thanks,

Prasad

Hello @prasadp87

Please have a look at our doc on onboarding databases.

https://docs.beyondtrust.com/bips/docs/ps-cloud-add-db

You will also want to set up functional accounts for MongoDB and Oracle.

https://beyondtrustcorp.service-now.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0016828

We also have a KB specific for Oracle .

https://beyondtrustcorp.service-now.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0016828

If you have any questions please let me know.

Regards,

John

Hey John,

Thanks for sharing the document. I would like to know more about what scan account permissions needs to be provided for MongodB Scan account. I see the document talks about Functional account but not about scan account. Can you share if any useful document on this?

Thanks,

Prasad

Hello @prasadp87

The scan account should be a system administrator so it can detect the application is installed and the port is open. It would be the Functional Account that has the MongodB permissions and discovers the database accounts.

John
