cisco catalyst switches and Routers

We are planning to onboard all Cisco Catalyst switches and routers into PAM and manage the associated local accounts.

Previously, I only onboarded Windows servers, so onboarding Cisco devices is new for me, and I’m unsure where to start.

Do I need to create a functional account on all devices to perform detailed discovery? and what is after that?

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey @xNourahx  - basically it’s the same workflow for the different platforms - Windows, Linux, Cisco, etc. The main difference in workflow is if the platform allows discovery scans, which is kept up to date in the supported platforms area:

Password Safe supported platforms

The Getting Started guide I find quite helpful for going over the workflows - I’ve linked the 24.2 pdf while our documentation platform is being updated as the workflows are the same.
