Hi team,

We have one windows non domain joined server on which

  1. functional test is failing
  2. password rotation of managed account is failing

We are getting below error when password test is tried

Error(64): The specified network name is no longer available.

We tried to RDP managed server from Resource Broker using functional account and it is working fine .

All relevant ports(3389,445, 135) for the server from resource broker is successful.

We have followed the KB article : KB0020487 and KB0020498 and all the recommended steps are in place. Functional account also have the admin permission as recommended by product. Still the issue persist.

If anyone has seen similar issue and was able to resolve, please let me know .

If any additional information is needed for this issue, please let me know .

Awaiting response. thank in advance.

Regards,

Imran Aliyani

what version are you on?

lets verify that you can get to the asset.

in a command prompt do an nslookup. if you get resolution then try nslookup on the IP address..

have you tried an rdp connection with the functional account?

Hi Imran,

If you haven’t already - I’d suggest logging a support ticket to get some assistance.

The KB articles you have referred to are specifically regarding deploying the Enhanced Session Auditing (ESA) component when you are starting a managed session, so whilst they are relevant to the functional account, they aren’t specifically relevant to testing and changing credentials with the functional account.

I suspect this may be a firewall restriction, or possibly some local token filtering (see KB0016828) which may be the cause - but the support team should be able to help walk through the possible causes in a structured way.

Best Regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul thanks for response.

Yes we have already raised the case with vendor and it had been going on from past many days . But still issue is not resolved .

The KB articles I have shared one is related to Enhanced session auditing and other is specifically for this issue . Everything is configured the  way product expects still the issue .

Hi Frank,

thanks for the response .

We are on BT-cloud with version being 24.1.1.268

nslookup with hostname and IP address both resolves and asset is managed in password safe successfully .

We have tried to RDP managed system using functional account and it works perfectly .

let me know if anything else is needed.

Regards,

Imran
