Hi,

Has anyone tried using a custom platform in Password Safe to onboard Allied Telesis?

Hoping for your help.

Thank you

Hello @Juls

I have done a quick search and Allied Telesis devices running the AlliedWare Plus operating system use the same or similar commands as Cisco devices so they should be easy to manage.

To get started login to Password Safe | Configuration | Custom Platforms

Clone the Cisco custom platform if using "username <<manacctname>> password <<manacctnewpwd>>"  for password changes.

Close Cisco Secret custom platform if using "username <<manacctname>> secret <<manacctnewpwd>>" for password changes.

Name your cloned platform "Allied Telesis" or something similar and create a Functional account for the new platform.

The only potential issue could be the "show version | include NX-OS" command in the cisco platform. If that produces an error that will send you to error handling so that line may need to be modified.

Please have a look there for the custom platform logic.

And this KB for managing Cisco should also work for your new custom platform. deviceshttps://beyondtrustcorp.service-now.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0017973
