Password Safe External Database Operating System Upgrade

Hello,
I need to upgrade the operating system from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2019 on the servers hosting the BeyondInsight databases. These servers are part of a cluster, and all cluster nodes will be upgraded.

My question is: how will this impact Password Safe operations? Will services return to normal automatically once the upgrade is completed, or are there any actions required from our side?

Additionally, are there any notes or precautions that should be considered to avoid potential failures during or after the upgrade?

    Hi ​@AlaaKH - the PasswordSafe application will be unavailable during this upgrade. 

     

    From a simply ‘my opinion’ perspective, I would recommend shutting down the PasswordSafe services in advance of the upgrade to ensure that there are no password changes in progress during the upgrade window and potentially causing issues later, and then turn them back on when complete.
