Hi,

I’m looking for a way to change password on network devices (mainly switches) without functional account need. Indeed, all switches have only one local root account and I don’t want to create another account to rotate this one. It could be really more efficient to use a “change password” action by the account itself more than a “reset password” by a functional account.

When you create or edit the managed account there is an option in the “Account Settings” section for “Use Own Credentials”. That should do what you are looking for.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your answer. I saw this option but the documentation is not so clear about rhe feature behind. After some testing, it is exactly what I expected.

Thank you so much.
