Passwordsafe related queries: which user has checked out account, Email notification on usage of specific accounts, Who changed the last password ?

Hi , I have a few queries (mentioned below), I am not able to find relevant information in documentations. If someone know please let me know -

1. which user has checked out account ? - I want to see who has checked out an account so that I can go ahead and ask them to check the account back in to passwordsafe.

2. Email notification on usage of specific accounts. - Is there a way I can setup email notifications to be sent out to some DL on usage of some accounts(not all), like when the account is requested and password is changed.

3.Who changed the last password ? - I would like to see the username of the user who changed or initiated the password change. I can see “changed by User” in password history but no detail on who the actual user was.

Hello, I am currently on version 24.x and will be migrating to 26.x. Therefore, any clarification covering both versions would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to understand the behavior for both user types (wherever applicable for all my 3 queries)-

End users with Requestor permissions only
Administrator users with Full Control and Requestor permissions
No ISA role is currently in use. However, if the ISA role provides any additional capabilities or options relevant to the three queries I mentioned, I would appreciate any information or clarification on that as well. Thank you.

Hey - so with 24.x, I’m just going to skip straight to the 26.2 documentation as you need to, lovingly, upgrade by the end of 2026😉

For sessions (*not password checkouts - Sessions tab | PS Cloud), You can also check the Password Release History in Analytics and Reporting.

For permissions, Analytics and Reporting reports are your friend: Analytics & Reporting | BI Cloud

Email notifications can be very noisy if you change this globally: Email notifications | PS Cloud

However, for specific managed accounts, you can set up notifications on the managed accounts level, and validate this with the Release Notification Email: Managed Accounts: Overview | BI Cloud. You can also set it up on a managed system level.

For the password change history, that’s also in Analytics and Reporting - Password Safe - Password Update Activity.

For the built-in roles, the Role Based Access docs would help define the expected functionality of each: Role-based access | PS Cloud

If you would like to talk through each component as it maps to something specific in the environment, I would recommend reaching out to the account owner (should be listed in the customer portal), as the specifics of the questions may trigger a series of follow-up questions to ensure that the resulting path you take best aligns with the outcomes you need.
