Hello Community,

In a Password Safe active passive configuration scenario what factors determine the maximum number of concurrent RDP and SSH sessions?

Are these influenced by hardware resources, system configurations or software restrictions?

Best,

Gavin

Hello @Artvinlot

Please have a look at our Doc in the section “Password Safe Scalability”

If you have any questions please let me know.

Hi Gavin,

Appliance resources would be the determining factor (or resource broker resources in the case of PS Cloud).  The last guidance I have from the Deployment and Failover Guide is up to 300 concurrent sessions per USeries virtual appliance assuming 32G and 2/4 CPUs.  The larger of the old physical appliances (USeries 50) was listed at 600 concurrent sessions per appliance, and I believe would have had 128G and beefier CPUs than the smaller USeries 20.

Cheers,

Owen

Hi Owen,

So will it be correct to assume if we increase the hardware resources significantly that will result in higher concurrent sessions.

How will this affect the database performance on the UVM?

does increasing hardware resources also increase database performance as well?

Gavin
