What is the recommended approach for securely managing and remotely accessing macOS systems using a password safe? Specifically, does a managed application for a VNC client support this use case, and is there an implementation guide? Thank you.

Hey Tonghualeo.

There are no option for using VNC for Mac connection similar to Windows getting an RDP file and use a proxied session.

You will either have to checkout the credentials and VNC to the system for a desktop experience.
SSH will work if enabled.

Alternative: if you have PRA, a combo of Password Safe and PRA would allow you to do JumpClient and inject credentials to your sessions if I recall correctly.

@Jens Hansen , Does this mean that managed applications using VNC client over RDS are not supported through Password Safe?

Sorry, I did not understand your use case, not sure I fully do.

I can see having VNC served as an APP and inject your Mac Credentials into VNC could be a potential solution, a little similar to how we would handle RDS Apps for SQL Server Management Studio etc.

I have never done that, but can’t see why that should not work.

This will be a Proxied Session to your APP, from your RDS(app) it will do a VNC to your Mac and inject your credentials.

VNC is not natively supported.
