Hi All,

We have migrated from one Password Safe appliance to another, as part of the migration, we moved the sessionmonitoring folder to the new appliance, with all the recordings.

Database is migrated successfully; I can see all the Completed Sessions on the portal. When I try to view any session recording which is migrated from old appliance, getting below error:

New appliance name is different from old one. Any advice to fix the issue? Thank you.

easiest resolution, change the new appliance name to that of the old appliance name, otherwise you will want to work with support as they should have some script lines to provide you to do the work. Pending on how large your database is it could be fast, could be slow.  Its been a while for me since I did on-prem PS, but the files essentially follow a UNC path naming method. IE: \\hostname\folder\file

@MikeK Thank you for the suggestions. Changing the appliance name didn't work. I was able to figure it out by looking into the database.

In the sessions database table old appliance guid has to be replaced with the new appliance guid.

Thanks

The appliance name is not what is causing your issue. each appliance has a UniqueID. the database assigns that ID to the file. even if you copy the files from one Appliance to another they will not view because the database does not recognize the UniqueID of the new host. to fix this issue you will need to open a support ticket with BT, they will work with you to run queries in the data base to relink the recordings to the new appliances.
