Hello, everyone!

[UPDATED to include additional version information]

Today marks our very first Monthly Patch Day at BeyondTrust, and I'm thrilled to see our new monthly cadence officially in motion. As you'll remember from our earlier announcement, the third Tuesday of every month is now the predictable home for patching & maintenance across the portfolio - and today, April 21st, kicks things off. This inaugural release covers Remote Support and Privileged Remote Access.

For our self-hosted customers, this one is flagged as a disruptive patch. If you're opted in to automatically apply disruptive patches at a set time, your appliance will take care of the update on its own - nothing for you to do. If you aren't opted in, you'll need to apply it manually at a time that works for your team. If you're unsure about your current automatic update settings or want to adjust them, this KB article walks you through everything you need to know. As always, BeyondTrust strongly recommends opting into automatic patch application.

Note: This patch only applies to version 24.x - 25.x. Version 26.1.1 includes the content of this patch, and old version will not have this patch available. BeyondTrust recommends customers with older versions update to at least 24.1 to stay within the supported range (2 years of general availability or newer).

For our cloud customers, we'll handle the patch for you. You can expect a brief window of unavailability at 04:00 local appliance time - typically just a few seconds, and up to about 4–5 minutes in rare cases. No endpoint updates are required, and any interrupted sessions should reconnect automatically once your appliance is back online. If you encounter any issues post-update, please engage with support. If you have questions or feedback on this first Patch Tuesday, reach out to customer.success@beyondtrust.com - we're listening.

All the best,
Sean Cashin

Did I say Tuesday?

Well, this is a little awkward. Our inaugural Monthly Update Process has hit a small snag for our self-hosted (aka on-prem) customers.

We ran into an unforeseen issue during deployment, so the patch didn't actually land on Tuesday for most self-hosted customers. The updated release for Remote Support and Privileged Remote Access will now be available Thursday morning, April 23rd, Eastern Daylight Time. The versions supported (24.x - 25.x) remain unchanged, with 26.1.1 not needing the patch as all changes are already incorporated into that release.

The good news: nothing changes on your end. Depending on your automatic update settings, the patch will be picked up automatically at your scheduled window, or you can apply it manually whenever it's convenient for your team. Self-hosted customers who want to check or adjust their settings can find everything they need in this KB article.

Our apologies for this plot twist, and our thanks for your patience as we work out the last wrinkle on our very first cycle - your feedback and understanding so far have been tremendously helpful, and we're committed to making each one smoother than the last.
