Hi all

Does anyone has the same issue with Jump Policies set directly on Jump Items not having an effect.

In general, we set the Jump Policy on Jump Groups via a Group Policy so each Jump Item within that Jump Group gets the same Jump Policy. There is the ability to set a Jump Policy directly on the Jump Item which should take effect for this single Jump Item and overrite the Jump Policy assigned by the Group Policy.

It looks like in the version 25.1.4, 25.2.1 and 25.2.2 this does not work anymore.

Has anyone else the same issue?

Hello @TheGiant - this seems intentional - from my review here and our Tech Docs, it does mention “ Jump Policies can be applied to individual Jump Items or Jump Groups.” (https://docs.beyondtrust.com/pra/changelog/privileged-remote-access-24-2-2#new-features-and-enhancements), plus within the “Add Jump Policy Membership” the two options are either set a Jump Policy to use, or the option of “Set on Jump Item”.

There were a lot of changes in PRA 24.2.2, it is possible these options/changes were also made (https://docs.beyondtrust.com/pra/changelog/privileged-remote-access-24-2-2#new-features-and-enhancements).

@PhillC Thanks for your reply.

It looks like since the option in the Group Policy with “Set on Jump Item” is there, the behavior regarding the Jump Policy has changed.

Previously it was the case that if there is a Jump Policy set on the Jump Item, the Jump Policy set within a Group Policy was overwritten.
