HI Everyone,

I have onboarded the local Linux accounts in PRA. But am looking for password rotation via PRA for non domain joined Linux accounts. Does any one have idea about local Linux accounts password rotation in PRA. If yes please suggest me on this. Thanks and looking for your quick support.

Hello @Anilreddy - Unfortunately, only acounts which have been onboarded through the Discovery feature can be rotated through a Windows Domain. You can Discover Accounts through deployed Jump Clients as well, but these are limited to Local Windows Accounts.

Shared or Generic Accounts cannot be rotated, as they soly exsist within the Vault section, and not tied to any actual machine account.

Please find details about the Discovery process here: https://www.beyondtrust.com/docs/privileged-remote-access/getting-started/admin/discovery.htm

Hello everyone,

I have a similar question to this one. Is it possible to rotate the password for accounts registered on Jump Web? I couldn't find this feature. They shared the information that it was necessary to register the account via SSH

Hello @Carlos Mendonça - the key element here is the Discovery part - if your accounts can be discovered throuhg our Vault Discovery process, they can be managed and rotated. Any account manually added through the Vault interface cannot.

If your Web Jump site authentication is backed by your AD, then it may be possible to manage those accounts.

@PhillC  I appreciate the positioning. So manually added accounts cannot be rotated through the right application for both the jump web and the vault, only accounts that are discovered by Vault discovery. Thank you, I appreciate it.
