PRA Remote Screen Sharing - Hardware Acceleration, Latency-sensitive GUI Use Cases

Hello ​@bt101 - there are some options within the session itself you can try to use, namely the session quality options, found in the top right hand corner of the session window. We have a few options available there, including Lossless and Video Optimised.

Please try changing those settings during one of those sessions and see how you get on!

​@PhillC Thank you. We have tried the available options Full Color, Video Optimized but I couldn’t see the Lossless Video option though (23.x version)

PRA’s built-in remote desktop sharing is pretty bad performance wise when compared to Microsoft RDP or even other 3rd party remote screen sharing applications. Many of our users have the same lag & color quality issues when using the bomgar built-in RDP client (GIS mapping software, etc.). This happens even when lossless is selected and the bandwidth & latency on the network are not factors (we isolated them in a lab). The only way we have ‘fixed’ this is by using the external tools / BYOT feature and using Microsoft RDP (tunnel with PRA).

Please make it so that remote access console actaully works for IT professionals.
This is a big Big problem for us. 
We are looking like clowns we need to get rid of Devolutions but can’t becasue the remote desktop solution we were told would replace it doesnt hardley work.
Why can’t it use full screen? Like the real full screen not the crap one.
