Password Safe Custom Plugins
The Password Safe Resource Kit, available for free for Password Safe customers and partners, includes a Software Development Kit or SDK, that includes a Sample Custom Plugin. Custom Plugins allow organization to expand the reach of Password Safe in terms of centrally managing Privileged Credentials. While support is included out-of-the-box for many platforms and applications, Custom Plugins add support for additional applications.

Custom Plugins are supported via the Community as a Best Effort. The Integrations Team at BeyondTrust has been testing some of the Custom Plugins listed below with customers and partners, but they have not been subject to the same level of testing when compare to out-of-the-box platforms. So it is recommended that organizations interested in the Custom Plugins perform their own tests before making the decision to promote a Custom Plugin into a production environment. Any feedback or enhancement requests can be submitted via the individual Posts for the Custom Plugins, available with a customer or partner login.
Additionally, each Custom Plugin includes a step-by-step import and configuration guide, and the source code that can be used to validate or modify the capabilities. The source code can also be used as a template to allow the creation of new Custom Plugins. The Password Safe SDK includes documentation on how to create and unit test Custom Plugins for .NET version 6 and 8. Password Safe and Password Safe Cloud version 24.1.1.1 and above require .NET version 8.
