Hi All, we are seeing DLL related error pop-ups on multiple machines windows 10, 11 when users try to open MS Office apps - PowerPoint, excel , word they see ai.exe - Bad Image. We have managed hook exclusion for ai.exe as well as full path:  Xyz:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\vfs\ProgramFilesCommonX64\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE16\AI\ai.exe.

EPP agent 24.3 . Is anyone else seeing these and were able to fix it.

I had posted similar error for msedgewebview2.exe We still see that error but for ai.exe with increased copilot usage a lot many users are seeing this now

Use the option to implement a DriverHookExclusion, this will completely remove the pghook.dll from being injected.

This does render the EPM client unable to control the process at all.

I have not seen the error on my system, so could be related to something unique to your configuration of software etc. 3rd party av etc.

Thank you @Jens Hansen Based on what we see , random set of users who have copilot installed are affected.
For exclusions , not sure if just ai.exe should be added or the program that might be triggering ai.exe to open, should also be added to exclusion e.g. few users are seeing it when they open PowerPoint specifically. When powerpnt.exe is launched I see ai.exe is also started.

( Apologies if links from other vendors are not allowed but pasting this for reference  as I see couple other vendors Norton AV , Ivanti PM seeing similar error messages https://forums.ivanti.com/s/article/Error-Opening-PowerPoint-Files-Due-to-ai-exe-Bad-Image-Error?language=en_US )
