For EPM Windows, is there any way to remove the policy on endpoint agent.

I want the turn them into first no policy “monitoring” state in certain conditions.

thinking about changing the smart rule. I gave empty smart rule to the machine but latest policy on it remains there.

Can I do it on smart rules or something without and rdp? Or I always need to delete the xml under Program Data?

Been a while since I used BI for policy management, but you should be able to assign another policy to the machine, but you need to ensure you do not have multiple policies applied from BI.

Alternatively, you could adjust filters to match on your current policy, with BI you do get the benefit of being able to assign multiple policies and stack them and set a global priority.

What are you going to monitor and what do you want to accomplish?

I have a migration project and after some test went bad need to return the agents first setup state with has no policy in it.

Loads of option to accomplish this.

Disable all the workstyles in current policy, will be the same as not having a policy in place.

Alternative create a new blank policy, and replace the assignment of policy in the current smart rule to be the new blank policy.

The more details, the better this fora can help.
