How to block dmg file installation in EPM-M

Hi Team,

How to block dmg file installation in EPM-M we are unable to block installation for dmg file as well as package installer. The blocking rule is ineffective for application installations, whereas the actions related to allowing or requesting installations are functioning as intended.

    There is no option to block a DMG file, but the content of the DMG is possible.

    The DMG file is just an image file.

    Hello ​@Jens Hansen, if possible, could you elaborate? I’m in a similar position as the user above, need to block certain .dmg files, but I can’t get it right. I want to block the option to mount the .dmg (to open it, from for example, the downloads folder) - if this is not possible, how can I block the option to open the package that is inside it?

    Hi Adam.

    The EPM Client can handle the content of your DMG files.

    DMG is just a disk image file, the EPM Client does not have a Block option for mounting of Disk files, but you can configure a configuration profile that blocks the mounting of DMG files, unrelated to the EPM Client.
