Connecting Identity Security Insights to Okta

 

Introduction

 

Identity Security Insights (Insights) connectors allows the integration of first- and third-party identity and account information with the BeyondTrust Insights console. Leveraging this data, the Insights platform constructs robust identity analytics, proficiently identifies potential identity security vulnerabilities, and offers informed security guidance.

Upon successful configuration, Insights automatically schedules and pulls data from the enabled connectors. This allows it to update the content of the console's dashboards and reports with fresh insights, revised recommendations, and recent threat detections.

Create an app integration

 

Note:
Ensure the user is logged in to their Okta account as a read-only administrator.

  1. Log into the Okta admin console

  1. Expand Applications then click Applications

  1. Click Create App Integration

  1. Click API Services, then click Next

  1. Enter a name such as BT Insights Connector and click Save

Note:
The Client ID will be used within Insights.

  1. In the Client Credentials tile, click Edit

  1. Next to Client authentication, click Public key / Private key

  1. Click Add key

  1. Click Generate new key

10. Select the PEM option
