Hi all Does anyone has the same issue with Jump Policies set directly on Jump Items not having an effect.In general, we set the Jump Policy on Jump Groups via a Group Policy so each Jump Item within that Jump Group gets the same Jump Policy. There is the ability to set a Jump Policy directly on the Jump Item which should take effect for this single Jump Item and overrite the Jump Policy assigned by the Group Policy. It looks like in the version 25.1.4, 25.2.1 and 25.2.2 this does not work anymore. Has anyone else the same issue?

We have created the Local account on Custom Platform /Linux system mapped it user one-to-one since We cannot mapped it dedicated since user's Admin account and Requestor id is not matching . Below is scenario, 1. User Admin id is PA091922. user's Requestor Id :MSP9192 Since users Requestor id and Admin Id are not matching , we have mapped this using one to one so that user can login to BT and should see this id ->PA09192This mapping is working fine and user is able to see this Id. Hi Experts! We’re slowly growing our user base in the Password Safe pilot we’re running. Since last week, non of our users are able to see their T0 accounts.The administrators were able to search for the accounts in the Password Safe module last week, but since Friday the cap of 1000 accounts were reached. Any suggestion on how to make the accounts visable? We have them as managed accounts in the managed accounts module, and they’re picked up by the smart rules that are identical to T2 and T1 accounts. We run a tierd model where rdp access is granted on T2, local/server admin is granted on T1 and domain admin is granted on T0. So each user can have up to 3 personal accounts per domain. Best regards,Joakim Andersson

Hi All,I am currently exploring options to onboard more than 1500+ Active Directory (AD) objects from an AD domain without using AD groups.I have developed a sample PowerShell script that uses the BeyondTrust Password Safe (BeyondInsight) REST API to import AD managed accounts in bulk.Using the POST API endpoint, I am successfully able to create multiple managed accounts under a Windows platform managed system (entry type: Asset). The script works as expected for Windows systems.However, when I try to use the same API for a Managed System of platform type Active Directory (entry type: Domain), the API call fails with an HTTP 400 (Bad Request) error.Could you please confirm if the same POST API endpoint is supported for creating bulk Active Directory managed accounts under a Domain-type Managed System?If not, please suggest the recommended approach or alternate API for importing AD accounts in bulk under the Active Directory managed system.

I understand I can see the last modified date on a secret in Secret Safe. If I modified anything on the secret notes, url, etc, it will show the last modified date for the secret. However, I need to see the date when the password was changed.Has anyone been able to figure this out?

Hi guys,We want to achieve this Use-case on MAC: Allow whitelisted Installers and let all other installers go through an approval process.We want to trigger a JIT message for all installers other than Whitelisted ones.So we created 2 rules, one to allow whitelisted installers and other rule to request.Coming to request all other installers (other than whitelisted ones), we placed .dmg and .pkg in application rules under binary and package applications, dmg is not getting any JIT message and we are able to proceed with installation and when it comes to .pkg, JIT request message is populating but in the middle of Installation process, it is asking for username and password again. These rules are being applied for standard users only. So is there a way to make all .dmg and .pkg files go through JIT when the user hits other installers other than whitelisted ones.

Hi all,I have onboarded winscp as an application in beyond trust. it is working fine however there is some delay before hostname username and password are injected in respective fields. can anyone please let me know how to resolve this issue. Regards Imran

This might be a bit too big of a question for this forum. However, I am not sure where to start. We are still somewhat new to PRA. I am wanting to start using Docker containers for our jumpoints instead of putting them on Linux instances. First, where do I go to download the container image? I heard that there is a stock image that we would use and then just input the key to start the connection to our system. Second, can we put the container in a service like AWS container service or Azure container service? Third, and this will show my very beginner level of experience with containers, would we do the firewall rules for the containers the same way that we do them for the Linux servers that are jumpoints?I have a feeling there are other items that I am totally missing, but I figured this is a good start. If you know of documentation you can point me to I am more than happy to start reading and testing things out. 

I am attempting to uninstall the Remote Support Jump Client en-masse across my Windows environment.  Attempting to uninstall via my RMM (NinjaOne)’s software inventory returns an error that says the program is not capable of silent uninstall.  I have attempted to create a batch script to uninstall, but because the installation location of the Client is inconsistent, this has been a struggle.Has anyone found an effective, repeatable method to uninstall the BeyondTrust Remote Support Jump Client (as well as Privilege Management)?I know you can uninstall from the representative console, but many of my devices have stopped communicating to the console.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All, I am trying to explore options for bringing in 1500+ AD objects from AD domain without using AD group option (I agree which is best and most suitable option). Kindly help to share if there are any other options to achieve this apart from using AD group.   

Hello Beekeeper Community,I’m curious to hear how others handle the following:Onboarding:easy: AD query, smart rules, and we have managed account. Offboarding:When a managed account deleted from AD , the password can’t locate the user. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a smart rule capability to identify which accounts are in Password Safe and which are not, to help with automated cleanup and management.How do you manage this process? I am experiencing an issue with the Bring Your Own Tool (BYOT) option when attempting to open a Remote RDP session using an external tool. For some endpoints, the session initiates but terminates within 1-2 seconds. Hi ALL,We have requirement to enable form Login for 2000 users in Password Safe. From BT portal, there is no bulk update option available .I am looking for any API if available then we can use it for bulk update and enable form login. I know alternately we can reach to BT support team and get it done from Backend. However we want to explore first if any API is available to achieve this.Can anyone please let me know if any REST API available that I can use and update the user profile .Awaiting for response. thanks in Advance.  

Hi everyone,we’re currently running BeyondTrust PRA 25.1.x and are looking for a way to delegate vendor management tasks to an internal operations team.We have several vendors in PRA, and we’d like to have an internal team that’s responsible for managing a subset of them. Ideally, this internal team should be able to: Create and delete vendor user accounts Extend or reactivate expired vendor accounts Send password reset emails to vendor users Basically, they should act as vendor administrators for specific vendor groups — but without being full PRA admins.We’ve looked through the admin console and documentation, but it seems there’s currently no privilege or role that grants “vendor admin” rights — i.e., no way to delegate vendor user management without also granting global admin access.Questions: Is there any supported method to delegate vendor user management (create / extend / reset) to internal users without giving them full administrative rights? Has anyone implemented somet

What are the best practices for configuring managed accounts for non-privileged access?For example, 200 developers who need access to multiple servers.What is the recommended best practice in this scenario?Specifically: Should each developer have an individual non-privileged domain account?Is there a better approach for managing a large number of non-privileged users accessing multiple servers (e.g., using groups, role-based access, PAM, etc.)?Very important: We do not want one developer’s session to be accessible or “stealable” by another developer.Looking for guidance on how organizations typically handle this setup securely and efficiently.

Hey Community, I’m looking for a way to manage service accounts via automation from Password Safe that will update credentials for service accounts that are used on Canon copier models MDF iR-ADV C5860 & MDF iR-ADV C5850. Is there a way to do this? I believe they use a proprietary OS called MEAP and their documentation is not very robust. Thanks!

Hi All,As per the KB articles from customer portal, It seems like time in appliance and has to match the time on clients (user mobile devices) for TOTP 2FA to work. How this will work when the users are in different time zones not matching with appliance time zone?

Has anyone had an issue where all of sudden managed accounts are not mapping to their user accounts with smart rules? I have smart rules to map the account, I haven’t done any changes to the managed or non-managed accounts in AD but it just all of sudden stops mapping. It seems like the smart rule isn’t reading the directory attributes either. 

We are uploaded OVA file in Nutanix Platform via Prism Console, post booting VM we are getting Boot device not found. Hi all,I am struggling to figure out why EPM is not correctly following rule priority within a workstyle. Our current policy was provided to us by BeyondTrust during our configuration sessions. I have added an application to policy via the “add to policy” button on the analytics page, to a rule that targets the application group “Add Basic Admin - High Flexibility”. In the application definition, I only use the product name as well as the publisher (provided by “add to policy” button).The problem is, when I try to launch the application, I don’t get the intended behaviour. I then check the analytics and I see the event was matched to a rule within the same workstyle with much lower priority.What’s going on?

We are looking into a way to have Password Safe manage the local admin account for RS and PRA.  Right now we have to set calendar items to remember to go in and reset the password to a new one.  Has anyone come up with a good way to accomplish this?  So far we are striking out.  I would have thought Password Safe might have something native for the Beyond Trust products, but that does not seem to be the case.  Looking for some insight.

I’m wondering if anyone has found a way to use a Kubernetes Cluster Tunnel effectively within BeyondTrust PRA, as documented here: https://docs.beyondtrust.com/pra/docs/jump-shortcuts#create-a-kubernetes-cluster-tunnelPrimarily what I’m curious about is how to use the temporarily generated KubeConfig and actually authenticate to a cluster? The KubeConfig that is generated doesn’t appear to do credential injection from PRA, nor can I utilize Azure CLI to get credentials for my AKS cluster injected. It seems like it would be a very poor user experience to have to have locally stored cluster credentials which must be added to the generated KubeConfig every time a connection is made. In addition, this is completely divergent from the patterns of PRA and Remote RDP where a user doesn’t have access to privileged credentials at all (due to credential injection). I have searched through documentation and opened a support ticket without getting any real answers, so I thought I’d reach out to th
