How to get Certifications and Badges?

Hello everyone, I’m new to BeyondTrust University and Beekeeper. Can anyone please guide me how to browse through/get a Passwordsafe certifications and badges? Can we also get a learning path for the same? I have checked the whole console and the learning path is empty and there are no certifications mentioned anywhere. There are only fair few courses available. Thanks.

Easy way to find and remove duplicate clients in Admin console.

I keep getting duplicate devices in the console, how do you prevent these from running up your license count? Is there a tool we can use to find the duplicated devices or is it just hunt and peck through thousands of devices?

PRA - Jumpoint - RDP Service Account for Session Forensics

Hi,We have Password Safe and PRA integrated and we are using Jumpoint for Remote Jump. For Session Forensics functionality, Is there a way to get the RDP Service Account credentials from Password Safe instead of creating the account in PRA Vault? Thanks,Prudhvi

Remote Support Customer Client pop up on macOS 15 Sequoia

The screen recording allowance for BeyondTrust Remote Support has been popping up multiple times a day for myself and all test users that I’ve had update to macOS 15 Sequoia.Clicking “Allow for One Month” does not seem to function - as the pop ups continue.

Unable to specify credentials in elevated mode

I saw a post on Reddit this morning and it reminded me of what I noticed when we performed an upgrade yesterday. When attending a Remote Support session with a customer and elevating the session, the only option is for the customer/end user to provide admin credentials - there is no option for the support engineer to provide their own credentials - is this expected behaviour?

What happens if your administrator secrets are automatically rotated (or somehow lost) and you are no longer able to access /appliance or /login with admin credentials? Just to be clear, I am not currently in this situation.

Password rotation ever x amout of time

¿Is there any functionality to rotate passwords every set amount of time?Basically, we want the account “admin” rotate every hour, or every 8 hours. We only can see the time for “at least” 1 time in the day or multiple if the account rotates every check-in but no every hour lets say.HAve you encountered a customer that solicited this? How would you go about it? Many thanks!

LDAP for Role-Based Access not working

Can BeyondInsight support LDAP for Role-Based Access? As we are unable to sync users once we have configured LDAP for authentication. we tried adding users through ldap in users and trying to authenticate, it does not work as well. Any guides or suggestions would be a great help

How to upgrade UVM 2016 to UVM 2022 in A/A site

I have a customer using 3x UVM2016 in A/A mode and want to upgrade to UVM2022 A/A.Problem is, their existing UVM2016 are all SQLFree. Now we want to move to 1x UVM2022 with SQL as primary + 2x UVM2022 SQLFree.What is the best practice to do the upgrade for all nodes? If i want to upgrade just primary appliance from UVM2016SF to UVM2022SQL, is it okay? Can i just level everything, add new node, config as primary, and turn off the old node? What will happen to existing session records? Can we bring them from old appliance to new appliance? Is there any other consideration?

RDS Server Hardening and browser hardening when PAM launches session via RDS server

Hello TeamThe application session launched via the RDS server allows users to access files placed in the RDS server desktop etc, if we launch the web browser and do ctrl + o . and then navigate.We can also launch cmd and powershell etc. What are recommended hardening for applying segregated access within the application sessions launched via the RDS server as its one single user profile being used for the RDS sessions.

Backward slash in the Beyond trust Password Safe API

We have stored the secrets in Beyondtrust Password safe and calling those secrets via Beyond trust API. This secret contains the single backward slash and in the Beyond trust API is escaping it by double backwardslash .  This secret is been used for encryption and decryption already the setup /configuration is been done they cannot change the key now. How to handle this?

Updating the Jump Client

Is there a command line we can run on machines to prompt them to update the jump client? i.e.: Simulate right clicking on a jump client in the representative console and clicking update?  We just updated our site software, and I am wondering about the best way to slowly rollout the jump client updates. Generally, the process we take would be updating the IT department, the business pilot, then start staging it out to production. We deploy our jump client via the generic .msi install. There are a couple methods that I can think of, but each has their downsides. Selecting jump items through the console and clicking “Update”. Downsides: This would take forever to manually do for a few hundred pilot machines Deploying via the Jump Client Auto Update settings. Downsides: No control over who gets the updates Deploying via the .msi installer. Downsides: You must uninstall the old version, then install the new version (This resets all of the audit history for that jump client instance ID)What

If you create a discovery of endpoints, add them to a jump group, and the jump items are subsequenrtly deleted (for whatever reason), is there a way for them to reappear in a discovery scan?

EPM-W : Allow uninstall of apps from add/remove programs

Hello! is there any way to allow users in high flex to uninstall any applications using Windows Add/Remove Programs option. This should be default behavior and we will add apps in a deny list which they should not be able to remove. Certain apps have additional protections and users wont be able to remove those even if we don’t have them in EPM deny list

Jump Client immediately uninstalls after installing. Version 24.1.1

EPM filter not working for on-prem sync group to EntraID

I have a hybrid environment where my on-prem AD group accounts are created and then later on syncd to Entra ID. When I add one of the syncd groups, the filter does not get applied at all. Does anybody know how EPM checks for which group a user belongs to? I tried creating a separate Entra ID cloud group and added myself as a member, got the sync completed via the API, then added an account filter using this group, still does not get applied. What am I missing?

Windows Terminal Shortcust

Hello.  I’m working on a way to elevate wt.exe.  If I right-click on the windows flag and select Terminal (Admin) or if I right-click on it from within the start menu, I am presented with a BT authentication message (as designed).  I enter my admin creds and it takes me to the Windows UAC.  It is hitting the application group “(Recommended) Add Basic Admin - Restricted LOLBAS” How can I pass the token through?

Enhanced Jump Client Information Display: IP Address & Serial Number

We recently implemented Remote Support and have been impressed with its ease of use. We're deploying Jump Clients to all of our end-user machines to continue providing unattended support, as we did with our previous remote tool.However, one key piece of information we've relied on in the past is the machine's serial number, which is currently not captured by Remote Support. It would be incredibly helpful if the serial number could be added to the list of information collected by the Jump Client. This would assist in verifying potential duplicate machine names at a given site.Additionally, while I can search through the captured information in the Jump Items section of the Rep Console, I haven't found a way to customize the columns displayed in the list. Would it be possible to allow customization of the displayed columns to include fields like the user, IP address, and serial number when the list is refreshed? This feature would significantly streamline our workflow.
